A sold out event on October 24th , 2014 will have over 400 Community leaders and influencers engaging in a uniquely formatted discussion building on the economic case for supporting more women in business.
This interactive event was initiated by members of the WEB Alliance, a collective of over 25 women’s business networks in the lower mainland. Organizations supporting professional as well as entrepreneurial women have been collaborating since 2009 when Jill Earthy, then CEO of the Forum for Women Entrepreneurs, and Laurel Douglas, CEO of the Women’s Enterprise Centre, brought together representatives from several different women’s business networks to share ideas and discuss ways to collaborate. Since that time, representatives have been meeting quarterly to share ideas and best practices for supporting women in business.
